Introduction to Miyagi Prefecture

Miyagi Prefecture is located in the Tohoku region and is an attractive area where beautiful natural scenery and historical sites coexist. Accessible from Tokyo Station by Shinkansen bullet train in about 1 hour and 30 minutes, the area is easy for sightseeing. The area around Sendai Station is so developed that it could be mistaken for Tokyo, with a wide variety of commercial facilities and restaurants. Miyagi’s specialty is beef tongue. There are many beef tongue restaurants in downtown Sendai, and you will not be disappointed at any of them. You will not be disappointed with the tender and tasty beef tongue. I often go to Sendai for work, and since there are many ramen shops and izakayas (Japanese-style pubs), I recommend staying in the Sendai Station area. Since it is in a rural area, hotel rates are not too expensive, so it is easy to go there.
